What is a pharmacist?
Pharmacists (sometimes called chemists) are experts in medicines and how they work. They play a vital role in providing quality healthcare to patients at your local pharmacy.

They dispense your prescriptions, provide a range of services related to specific health issues and can give advice on healthy living and minor ailments.

You don’t need an appointment and many pharmacies are open longer than GP surgeries.

Finding a pharmacy
To find a pharmacy near you, search on NHS Choices.

Pharmacies often open in the evenings and at the weekend and there is cover on Bank Holidays.

The following links will provide opening times for your area after 6pm on a weekday, 5pm on a Saturday and Sunday opening.
