Problems with mental health are very common and most can be dealt with by your doctor, supported by specialist staff.

If you’re feeling depressed or think you might need help with a mental health problem you should first speak to your nurse, GP or social worker.  Your doctor may perhaps refer you to a Community Mental Health Team.

You can get general advice from NHS Direct on 0845 4647 or find out more about mental health problems on the NHS Choices website.

Additional support
You can find out about additional advice and support for people with mental health problems on the Hampshire County Council website and via e.VOLve, the online directory of voluntary and community organisations in Hampshire.
