Services

What services are we developing?

NHS Hampshire is committed to engaging patients and the public in developing plans and making decisions about local health services.

We are working to routinely ask for views, comments and experience of services to ensure that engagement becomes embedded in all that we do.

We have a number of engagement programmes currently underway to ensure that patient and public views shape health services in Hampshire.

To be world class commissioners we need to know the needs and preferences of our local communities, work with our partners on the health and wellbeing agenda and work with local people to tackle health inequalities.

We believe that patient and public involvement should be based around common good practice principles. This means including all relevant and interested parties in:

  • the ongoing planning of services
  • the development of proposals for change
  • decisions that may alter the operation of services.
