We are committed to patient and public involvement (PPI).  This term is used in the NHS to include:

  • thinking about services from the patient’s or carer’s point of view
  • telling people about local NHS services and how to access them
  • seeking feedback about people’s experiences of NHS services
  • involving and consulting patients, carers and the public in how we review, monitor and change services
  • increasing accountability in the NHS.

The aim of PPI is to deliver better health and health services for local residents.
