Vascular consultation delay

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

Over the past two weeks, there has been a great deal of clinical discussion regarding the detailed arrangements associated with a potential Portsmouth/Southampton Network model.  We have also received significant feedback on the emerging options from a number of stakeholders.

We need to reflect on this within the SHIP PCT Cluster and incorporate the changes currently being discussed before publishing our document. Therefore, we have no option other than to delay the start of the consultation.

“We are actively working with our providers to reach agreement regarding the future arrangements for vascular services, and in doing so, expect to gain the support of our public and stakeholders in taking forward plans to achieve best outcomes for local people,” said Debbie Fleming, chief executive for the Southampton, Hampshire, Isle of Wight and Portsmouth (SHIP) PCT Cluster. “Clearly, it is important that we do this speedily, and we expect to publish finalised proposals in the near future.”

The revised consultation dates and how to get involved will be announced as soon as possible.
