NHS Hampshire Board

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

The Board is made up of a majority of part-time non-executive or lay directors (all Hampshire people), as well as full-time executive directors (NHS staff). It is chaired by a non-executive director, appointed by the NHS Independent Appointments Commission.

The Board meets every other month at different venues around Hampshire. NHS Hampshire aims to be open and honest in all its work and members of the public are welcome to attend the meetings.

Each Board meeting includes a one-hour presentation and seminar on a health issue, where members of the public are warmly welcomed and they are actively encouraged to contribute.

The seminars might discuss, for example, a new care pathway for diabetes or developments in maternity services.

You are also welcome to observe the formal Board meetings but it is not possible to take part in the discussion.
