The role of Hampshire PCT is to improve the health of the residents of Hampshire and to ensure they receive the highest standards of health care. Therefore it is essential that our facilities are accessible and ‘fit for purpose’. Key Performance indicators are set out for the improvement of the estate and these have attracted interest from other NHS organisations.
The PCT is making the most of increased opportunities for funding improvements within the estate, using procurement vehicles such as Local Improvement Finance Trusts (LIFT). This offers the chance to work in partnership with both selected LIFTCo’s and other partners such as Local Authorities and primary care to provide new buildings locally, both to replace existing estate and to provide new facilities. There are a number of projects that have either been recently delivered, or are in the planning stages, that provide shared facilities and expertise.
